York County is moving forward with a new admissions tax that could bring in between $900,000 and $1.8 million each year for the county. The board of supervisors recently discussed the proposal and directed staff to prepare for formal adoption of a 5% tax focused on tourism-related attractions like water parks and amusement parks, effective January 1, 2027.
