Westwood Park developer, James City differ on tax revenue estimate
The James City County Board of Supervisors recently approved the rezoning for Westwood Park, which will bring up to 139 homes and about 24,000 square feet of commercial space to land owned by the Commonwealth of Virginia as part of its Eastern State Hospital holdings, with local ABVA Development, LP serving as the developer. The housing mix includes 82 single-family detached homes and 57 single-family attached and multifamily units. The property sits on roughly 80 acres that will be accessed through the current terminus of Discovery Park Boulevard. The approval came with two new conditions added at the meeting.
