Hotel stats bode well for region ahead of 250th and sports center opening

Regional tourism is showing strong growth heading into the 250th anniversary celebrations, with hotel occupancy and rooms sold both outpacing state and national trends. The Greater Williamsburg Sports and Event Center, a collaborative project among James City County, the City of Williamsburg, and York County, is set to open June 24 with over 100 confirmed events already booked.
