Williamsburg hospitality industry says move will push visitors and residents to nearby locales

The Williamsburg City Council will reconsider imposing higher meals and lodging taxes as well as a new event and attraction admission tax. City staff say the changes would raise over $2.6 million in needed revenue. Hospitality leaders say the move would place an ill-advised burden on struggling businesses.
